D.F. Woudagemaal<\/strong>, dit monumentale stoomgemaal &#8211; af en toe nog in werking &#8211; staat sinds 1998 op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO. Even indrukwekkend als de stoomtechniek is de fraaie architectuur gebaseerd op de Amsterdamse school. In 2011 is het nieuwe bezoekerscentrum gereed gekomen. De bezoeker maakt hier op spectaculaire wijze kennis met alle boeiende aspecten van het Woudagemaal. Het Woudagemaal zelf is alleen toegankelijk met een rondleider.<\/p>\n<p>Maar ook een bezoek aan de\u00a0<strong>De Orchidee\u00ebnhoeve<\/strong>\u00a0in Luttelgeest is zeker de moeite waard!\u00a0De wonderlijke wereld van orchidee\u00ebn en vlinders, eenmaal binnen kan de reis door de tropen beginnen. De Tropische, Maleisische en Taiwanese tuin, de Vlinder Vallei en de nieuwe Lorituin zijn toonaangevend in Europa! Kortom een compleet en verrassend dagje uit voor het hele gezin.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;64px&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1553596546407{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-right: 10px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;}&#8221;]Het\u00a0<strong>Duikmuseum in Lemmer<\/strong> toont een grote collectie duikmaterialen en &#8211; pakken uit verschillende perioden in onze geschiedenis. De collectie is overzichtelijk, omdat gebruik wordt gemaakt van etalagepoppen in allerlei duikuitrustingen. Naast het duikmuseum bevindt zich een duikwinkel. De toegang tot het museum is gratis.<\/p>\n<p>Vanuit Lemsterland zijn er oneindig veel mogelijkheden op\u00a0<strong>fietsgebied<\/strong>; naar het Kuinderbos, de Weerribben, een rondje Friese Meren, Gaasterland, of de LF-routes.<br \/>\nBij het STIP-kantoor in Lemmer zijn fietskaarten voor alle gebieden van Nederland verkrijgbaar. Veelgevraagd zijn de handzame kaarten van het zogenaamde &#8216;Fietsnetwerk&#8217; Frysl\u00e2n (ook wel knooppunten genoemd). Bij STIP zijn alle 5 regiokaarten van Frysl\u00e2n verkrijgbaar.
